The scenic cabin lifts Gondola2000 and Express take you to the top also during the summer season. On the way, you can enjoy the beautiful Lappish landscape. On the top, continue onward to the Peak Trail or stop to enjoy some refreshments on the sunny terrace of the Restaurant Palovartija. Return using the Express cabin lift on the Front Slopes or even rocket down on one of our summer sleds!
The lifts are suitable for families with baby strollers and for persons with a wheelchair. Children under 6 years may travel free of charge and must always be accompanied by an adult.
The Express cabin lift is located at the centre of village Sirkka. It takes takes you from Zero Point to the upper station of the Front Slopes, right next to the congress centre Levi Summit and the hotel Levi Panorama. You can either return with the same lift, hike down the slopes, or descend with style by using a summer sled instead! You may also want to check out the western side of the fell, and then return down with the Gondola2000-lift.
The hiking trail called Ige Age begins from the upper lift station. It goes clockwise around fell Levi and returns to the backyard of Levi Summit. The trail is almost 9 km long and shows nature and geology with 13 info boards. The "Ige Age" theme is shown with animal characters and each milestone takes you 10 million years back in time. You may use return ticket also on the Gondoli2000 cabin lift on the West Slopes. The lifts are suitable for families with baby strollers and for persons with a wheelchair. Children under 6 years may travel free of charge and must always be accompanied by an adult.
The Gondola2000 cabin lift runs with convenient speed along the fell's western side, going as high as 20 metres above the ground. The altitude difference between the upper and lower stations is 302 metres. The downhill, enduro and freeride biking tracks of the Levi Bike Park run below the lift. The sightseeing tour with a return ticket takes about 20 minutes, and it is possible to get out of the cabin at the top to wander around the top of the fell.
Interesting visiting places are the renovated restaurant Palovartija and the Peak Trail for sightseeing and picnic. The 600-meter Peak Trail begins from the upper lift station and goes clockwise around the very top of the fell. More info about Peak Trail you can find here. In addition to breathtaking views to western Lapland, it offers sitting areas and a fireplace for a picnic. From the upper station of the Gondola2000 lift, you can also get to one of Levi's most photographed scenery, Santa's Cabin. Santa’s Cabin is located between Gondola2000 lift and Levi West chairlift, next to slope W.3 on the right side of the slope when looking down from the top. Tickets for the scenic cabin lifts can be bought in advance online or on-site from the Zero Point Rental, Activity Park Rental or from ticket machines. Ticket machines are located at the Zero Point -building (Hissitie 8) and at the lower station of Gondola2000-lift (Gondolitie 1).
