Free ski lifts, Kids Land and Leevilandia, ski school for kids, yummy food and new friends. It all begins here!

Levi ranks among the best family skiing destinations in Finland. For the junior skiers, Levi sports a total of 10 children's slopes and their own South Park Junior terrain park, two children's play areas Kids' Land and Leevilandia, as well as lots of guided activities. Levi Ski School provides a safe and easy start for children to try out winter sports. You can find the slopes for the whole family here and skiing tracks here.

Levi is an easy resort to spend a winter holiday with children. And the easiest way to reach the slopes is by using Ski Buses. Buses transfer in November-April between the main lifts and the major accomodation areas. There are two routes which connect at the very centre next to the Zero Point House at the Front Slopes. You may use buses even for spa and shopping trips.

Buy your ski passes in advance online and head directly to the slopes. All tickets are loaded onto the KeyCard smart card. Ski passes are cheaper for children of 6 to 11 years old and a child under 6 years wearing helmet will ski for free when accompanied by an adult. For group trips, you can order ski passes for the whole group online.

When you buy your ski pass online, you receive a QR Code to your smartphone. You can use this QR Code to pick up your smart card from the ticket machine when you arrive. If you already have our KeyCard, you can load the ski pass directly onto your smart card from our online store.

From our Online Ski Shop you can also buy ski passes for your child when they travel to Levi with grandparents, school groups, etc.

Lifts for children

Levi is a safe place for children to try out winter sports. We offer 10 special lifts for children. The bigger lifts are free for children under 6 years who wear a helmet and are accompanied by a skiing adult. With the parent one-day ski lift pass, the parents of small children may take turns skiing and looking after the children. The pleasant slopes of Utsuvaara, Aurinko and South Point (South Slopes) are especially popular among families.

Ski School is fun

Our experienced ski school instructors are specialiced in offering fun private and group lessons for children. Weekly programs offer several choices for smaller and bigger skiers. Book your lesson in advance to get the best starting times!

At Kids Land by the Front Slopes, the smallest visitors get our full attention. Our free weekly programme, specifically designed for children, offers fun activities for each day of the week. Luckily there is no age limit, so parents and older kids can also join in...

In case you get cold, have a warm juice in the Lappish “kota” teepee in Kids Land. If you like, you can bring sausages to grill over the fire in the atmospheric hut. The sledging hills at Levi have been rated top-quality – so check them out too!

Also day care for the youngest one is offered by Tenavatokka.

New playground for kids is Leevilandia at the South Slopes, next to the South Point House. Leevilandia has a covered carpet lift and a traditional pome lift (free for children smaller than 130 cm). Also a fire place for grilling sausages is available. Free weekly activity program is offered daily.

Muksutupa is the indoor day care place for smaller children.

Where to eat

Food is an important part of an active day in the outdoors and for having a great time together with the family. Just pop into one of Levi's slopeside restaurants when it is time for lunch or some snacks:

  • Café Tanja, Front Slopes, 11am-3pm
  • Alpine Café, West Slopes, 11am-3pm
  • Sivakka, South Slopes, 11am-4pm
  • Draivi, Northeast Slopes, 11am-5pm
